Sporting KC Weekly Schedule: Aug. 8-14, 2022

Sporting Kansas City (6-14-5, 23 points) will travel to Texas to take on second-place Austin FC (13-5-6, 45 points) at 8 p.m. CT on Saturday at Q2 Stadium.

The Western Conference clash will be locally televised on 38 The Spot with three hours of coverage beginning at 7:30 p.m. CT. The broadcast will also stream live on SportingKC.com and in the Sporting KC app for viewers in Kansas and Missouri (excluding the St. Louis area per MLS policy), as well as ESPN+ for out-of-market subscribers.

In addition, Sporting KC Pub Partners  across the Midwest will be showing the match and radio coverage of Saturday's showdown will air on Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM.

MLS NEXT ALL-STAR GAME ON WEDNESDAY

Sporting KC Academy U-17 midfielder Edgar Bazan will represent the club in the inaugural MLS NEXT All-Star Game presented by Allstate at 11 a.m. CT on Wednesday at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn. The match - featuring an East vs. West format - will stream live on Twitter, MLSsoccer.com and the MLS app.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS UNIFIED ALL-STAR GAME ON WEDNESDAY

The MLS All-Star festivities continue at 3:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday with the Special Olympics Unified All-Star Game presented by MLS WORKS, ESPN and Coca-Cola at the National Sports Center in Blaine, Minn. Sporting KC representatives Aeriana Ortiz and Eva McMahon will compete in the match, which will stream live on ESPN3, MLSsoccer.com and the MLS app.

ADULT FIELD DAY AT CMP ON SATURDAY

On Saturday, Adult Field Day will return to Children's Mercy Park. Event check-in will begin at 10 a.m. CT and registration is available  online at SeatGeek.com. Only one ticket is required per team and, in addition to participation in the competition, the $400 entry fee also provides each team member with a commemorative koozie, admission to the awards ceremony and a $10 Sporting Pay credit redeemable on concessions or retail items at Children’s Mercy Park.

JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL AT CMP ON SUNDAY

On Sunday, the Kansas City Jewish Film Festival (KCJFF) will screen "A Common Goal" at Children's Mercy Park as part of the Movies at the Park series through Sporting Club Special Events. Sporting KC midfielder Gadi Kinda will speak to attendees after the film, which showcases the story of the Israel Men's National Team. Tickets for the event are available online at SeatGeek.com and gates will open at 12 p.m. CT with concessions available from the Ellenberg Experience Kosher Food Truck.

SKC II HOSTS TIMBERS2 ON SUNDAY

Sporting KC II will continue the club's inaugural season in MLS NEXT Pro at 5 p.m. CT on Sunday against Western Conference foes Portland Timbers2 at Swope Soccer Village.
