Thoughts on the match…
It’s a disappointing result, but more I’m more disappointed with the way we approached the game and the way that we stepped into the game. I think there was a lack of commitment today, and I let the guys know that I was upset. There are good and bad days, right. On bad days if you miss a pass, if you miss an open shot, if you miss a header, if you miss a tackle, it’ll happen in a game. But what we cannot miss is the effort and the mentality. That has to be a given every time you step in and today, I think we missed that.
On the upcoming game Saturday against Charlotte…
Short turnaround, two days before we play the next game. We have to recover well and make sure that everyone is ready to go but also, it’s an opportunity to bounce back and turn this around. This was not a good outing for us today. Credit to Loudoun for grabbing it at the end. But thankfully we have another opportunity to turn this ship around on Saturday.
On Felipe Hernandez’s performance this year…
Felipe has been our main threat offensively this year. I think he’s doing a good job of recognizing and making those runs into those pockets, and he has a great shot from outside the box. He has a great strike. Today he was happy with the strike he had, and it was a great goal.

Thoughts on the match…
As a team we need to be better and be on the same page. We had that chance to win, and today was a big one. Going into it, we thought we were going to turn things around, but it has to be better from every single one of us.
On Alexsander’s assist on his goal…
We do these things in training, so we’ve been on the same page for a while. It just comes down to workouts. It was a great ball by him.
On finding pockets of space throughout the game…
We were getting into good positions; it’s just the execution. We have to be there. It has to come from us every single game.
On the quick turnaround Saturday…
We have to get a result. It starts from each and every one of us.

Thoughts on the match…
Today we just didn’t have the right mentality. If you don’t have the right mentality, you’re not going to get a result no matter who you play, younger or older. Some of the guys just weren’t there today.
On his goal…
There were big pockets throughout the whole game in the midfield. I was able to get a ball and just saw space and had a go.
On his goal scoring form…
It’s good to get goals, but it just depends on the games. It’s not really what I’m worried about. I’m trying to win games and get results, but it’s good to get a goal every once and a while.
On the game Saturday…
We have to recover and change the mentality and be ready on Saturday. If we have the mentality we had today, we’re not going to win any time. We’ve just got to change our mentality and get ready to go on Saturday.
