After Memorial Day 2025, Carson began experiencing persistent knee pain. What was initially diagnosed as stress fractures was later discovered to be a tumor. Following a biopsy, Carson was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. He began chemotherapy and underwent major surgery in December 2025 to remove the tumor, knee, and shin, followed by reconstruction of his leg. Thankfully, his recovery is going well!
Throughout his journey, Carson has shown incredible strength and positivity. At just 16, he has never complained or asked, “Why me?” Throughout his treatments, he has continued to support his teammates by watching live streams and cheering them on from afar. He continues to smile through every appointment and hospital stay while making sure those around him are okay. His teammates, coaches, friends, family, and community have surrounded him with love and support every step of the way.
