In July 2016, after a brief illness, Ezra was diagnosed with a Wilms tumor, a type of kidney cancer, and began treatment right away. He had surgery to remove his right kidney and went through 19 rounds of chemotherapy over six months. Ezra showed great strength during this difficult time, and the treatment worked. He has been cancer-free since the end of 2016!

Today, Ezra is a healthy and energetic kid who enjoys playing video games, playing sports, and riding his bike whenever he can. His family describes him as funny, kind, clever, and smart.

He loves chicken nuggets, fries, and cheeseburgers. He will be joined by his parents, two brothers, and his sister.
