Sporting Kansas City will look to extend the club's six-game unbeaten run when they host League leaders Seattle Sounders FC at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Sporting Park. A limited number of tickets, including Standing Room Only tickets released earlier today, are available via Ticketmaster.com and the first 10,000 fans through the gates will receive a commemorative Matt Besler poster courtesy of Sprint.
Saturday's match will be televised locally on KMCI-TV 38 the Spot and across the Midwest on SKCTV">across the Midwest on SKCTV with three hours of coverage beginning at 7 p.m. CT. In addition, Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and La Grande 1340 AM (Spanish) will provide live broadcasts for their listening audiences in Kansas City.
Single-game tickets for Sporting Kansas City home matches from July through October will go on sale at 10 a.m. CT today via Ticketmaster.com. Tickets will be available for the first time for the following matches:
- Sat., July 18: Sporting KC vs. Montreal
- Sat., Aug. 1: Sporting KC vs. Houston
- Sat., Aug. 15: Sporting KC vs. Vancouver
- Wed., Aug. 19: Sporting KC vs. San Jose
- Fri., Sept. 18: Sporting KC vs. FC Dallas
- Sun., Sept. 27: Sporting KC vs. Seattle
- Sun., Oct. 25: Sporting KC vs. LA Galaxy
The Sporting Kansas Academy U-15's were crowned champions of Kansas State Cup on Sunday with a 3-1 victory in overtime against Kansas Rush at the Overland Park Soccer Complex and will now advance to the USYS Region II Championships in Wisconsin. The Sporting KC Academy U-13's concluded the group stage on Sunday with a 2-1 victory over Toca FC to finish atop Bracket C with a 2-0-1 record. The U-13's will play SPORTING Blue Valley Man United 01-02 at 5 p.m. CT today in the Kansas State Cup semifinals with the winner moving on to play in the championship match at 5 p.m. CT on Tuesday. Sporting KC Academy product Erik Palmer-Brown is with the U.S. Under-20 Men's National Team at the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand, where the U.S. opened the tournament with a 2-1 victory over Myanmar on Friday. The U-20's will play their final two group stage matches this week, first facing hosts New Zealand at 2 a.m. CT on Tuesday before playing Ukraine at 2 a.m. CT on Friday. Krisztian Nemeth has joined the Hungary Men's National Team
ahead of their friendly against Lithuania at 11:30 a.m. CT on Friday in Debrecen, Hungary. Nemeth leads all Sporting Kansas City players with six goals in 2015, while also adding two assists, and he has 15 international appearances since debuting for Hungary in 2010.
Nemeth is one of
eight Sporting KC nominees on the fan ballot for the 2015 AT&T MLS All-Star Game
. Voting began last week and will continue online, via social media and through EA SPORTS FIFA 15 until July 3.
A new episode of The Sporting KC Show will air on Sports Radio 810 WHB from 7-8 p.m. CT on Tuesday.
