2016: Played in 10 games for the Swope Park Rangers in the regular season. Lubin posted a 1.80 goals against average and made 30 saves on the season, while the Rangers went 3-5-2 with him in goal. He made his debut for the club on May 14 against former club Tulsa Roughnecks FC – a 2-1 SPR victory. Lubin’s other two wins came against San Antonio FC on July 30 and Tulsa again on Sept. 21.
2015: Spent his first season in the USL with the Tulsa Roughnecks after signing from IFK Lulea in Sweden. Lubin made 15 appearances, recording two shutouts and leading the USL with 4.87 saves per game while serving as club captain in their inaugural season. He was named to the USL’s Team of the Week following an eight-save shutout performance against the Austin Aztex on May 23, with his other shutout coming the previous week against the Orange County Blues FC on May 17.
Before USL: While in college, Lubin played for USL Premier Development League side the Tacoma Tide, and once his college career was over, he signed with PDL team the Kitsap Pumas and won the national title in his first season with the club. He joined Seattle Sounders FC Under-23s in 2013, spending a season in the Pacific Northwest before heading abroad to Sweden in 2014. Lubin joined Division 1 North side IFK Lulea in Sweden and made 22 appearances in all competitions for the club, recording five assists.
College: Lubin attended St. Martin’s University and set a program record with 288 saves in 67 games at the DII school. In 2009, he was a first team all-conference selection as the Saints won the school’s first team title in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
