KCW Juniors 2-1 LA Galaxy Rios

U17 Goal v LA Sum Cup

After a frantic start, the KCW Juniors overcame a mid-match lull to defeat the LA Galaxy in their first match of the 2010 SUM U-17 Cup. Kansas City’s Nathan Opperman caused fits for the Galaxy with his disruptive play early in the first half, but LA opened the scoring with a curling 20-yard free kick from Eric Gonzalez before the interval.

Derek Schrick proved to be the hero for the Wizards Juniors with a pair of second-half strikes, including one in stoppage time, to give Kansas City a 2-1 victory over the kids from Carson.
