Davy Arnaud Dynamic Lead

Midfielder Davy Arnaud moved to the top of Sporting Kansas City's all-time games played chart on Wednesday, tying Kerry Zavagnin with 237 regular season MLS appearances in his Sporting KC career.

The Sporting Kansas City captain started and played 77 minutes in the club's 2-1 victory over the Columbus Crew at LIVESTRONG Sporting Park (7:30pm CT on KSMO-TV), making his return to the club's starting XI for the first time since June 22nd after undergoing sports hernia surgery in early July.

Arnaud, the 50th overall pick in the 5th round of the 2002 MLS SuperDraft out of NCAA Division II's West Texas A&M, has played 10 seasons for Sporting Kansas City -- the most among all active players in MLS with a single club -- during which he has recorded 43 goals and 34 assists.

With Wednesday's appearance, Arnaud moves into a tie with Scott Garlick for 51st place on Major League Soccer's all-time games played chart, and his 237 appearances is 45th most among field players in Major League Soccer history.

Arnaud also surpassed 20,000 minutes played, including postseason, in his Sporting KC career on Wednesday, becoming just the third player in club history to exceed the milestone along with Zavagnin and Nick Garcia.

The Nederland, Texas native has an additional 12 games played in the MLS Cup playoffs in his career, with four goals and one assist, including a two-goal performance in the 2004 Western Conference championship (shown below) that sent KC to their last MLS Cup final.
