  • Sporting Kansas City defeated Real Salt Lake 3-1 in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup semifinals at Sporting Park on Wednesday. 
  • Sporting Kansas City Manager Peter Vermes made three changes to his starting lineup from the club's last match, a 3-1 victory against Toronto FC at BMO Field. Dom Dwyer, Amadou Dia and Saad Abdul-Salaam started in place of Connor Hallisey, Chance Myers and Jimmy Medranda.
