Last week, MLS announced that Real Madrid would be the opponent for the 2017 MLS All-Star Game. This is the second time Real Madrid will play a team comprised of MLS players after hosting the Major League Soccer's Select XI squad at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in 2005 for the Trofeo Bernabeu. Kansas City Wizards center back Jimmy Conrad started on the back line against a star-studded lineup that included David Beckham, Ronaldo, Zidane and Raul.
