Nansel Selbol earns second consecutive USL Goal of the Month honor

Swope Park Rangers forward Nansel Selbol has won the USL Fan’s Choice Goal of the Month for the second month running. The Sporting KC Academy product was nominated for the award after his sumptuous curling strike helped SPR to a 2-0 victory over Seattle Sounders FC 2 on July 20.

Selbol, who also won the June edition of the contest with a well-taken goal against LA Galaxy II, received 30 percent of the online poll conducted on USLSoccer.com.

The 20-year-old has four goals and two assists in 16 appearances for the Rangers this season, eclipsing his numbers from the entirety of the 2016 campaign already. Selbol also scored the game-winner in his only appearance for Sporting KC – a 3-1 victory over Central FC in the CONCACAF Champions League on Oct. 19, 2016.

Selbol and the Swope Park Rangers are back in action this weekend when the side hosts Orange County SC at Children’s Mercy Victory Field in Swope Soccer Village. Tickets for the match are available via SeatGeek.com, while the game will be live streamed on SportingKC.com.
