Sporting Kansas City's run in the 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup continued on Wednesday with a penalty kick shootout win over the San Jose Earthquakes. Peter Vermes's side will now host the winner of the New York Red Bulls and FC Cincinnati in the championship match at Children's Mercy Park on September 20. Tickets for that match are on sale to the general public and can be purchased via SeatGeek.
