Sporting Kansas City (7-2-4, 25 points) moved into a tie for first place in the MLS Supporters' Shield standings with a 0-0 draw against Columbus Crew SC on Sunday at Children's Mercy Park. Manager Peter Vermes' men will remain home this weekend for their second straight nationally televised showdown on FS1, hosting Minnesota United FC (5-7-1, 16 points) at 7:30 p.m. CT Sunday.

Single-game tickets to Sporting KC's final seven home matches of the 2018 MLS season will go on sale to the general public Wednesday at 10 a.m. CT via SeatGeek.com. The seven-game set that rounds out Sporting KC's 2018 home schedule begins July 28 with a visit from FC Dallas and includes high-profile fixtures against the Portland Timbers (Aug. 18), Orlando City SC (Sept. 8), LA Galaxy (Oct. 6) and Los Angeles Football Club (Oct. 28). Additional information, including details on group ticket packages, is available by calling 888-4KC-GOAL.


At 10 a.m. CT Friday, tickets will go on sale to the general public at Ticketmaster.com for the Tournament of Nations doubleheader featuring the U.S. Women's National Team on July 26 at Children's Mercy Park. The reigning World Cup champion U.S. WNT will face archrival Japan at 6 p.m. CT in the second game of a double-feature that begins with Australia vs. Brazil at 3:15 p.m. CT. Sporting KC Season Ticket Members will have access to an exclusive presale for the doubleheader beginning at 10 a.m. CT Thursday.


The Victory Project will host the fourth annual Yoga on the Pitch fundraising event on Thursday at Children's Mercy Park from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Five Sporting KC players will join veteran defender Graham Zusi on the stadium pitch to participate in the 60-minute yoga session with all individuals who sign up at VictoryKC.org.


A new episode of The Sporting KC Show will air Thursday at 6 p.m. CT on Sports Radio 810 WHB. Hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine will look ahead to Sunday's match and preview Week 14 of the MLS season.


Sporting KC winger Johnny Russell has joined the Scotland Men's National Team for an international friendly against CONCACAF powerhouse Mexico on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, airing live on FS1 and Univision.


The Swope Park Rangers (5-2-4, 19 points) bounced back into the victory column with a 1-0 win over Phoenix Rising FC on Saturday afternoon at Children's Mercy Park. Head coach Paulo Nagamura's men will now prepare for Saturday's road test against rivals Saint Louis FC (3-3-5, 14 points) at Toyota Stadium in Fenton, Missouri. The match will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT and stream live on ESPN+.


Sporting KC welcomes fans of all ages to the BIG Bagkyard celebration on Saturday at Powell Gardens in Kingsville, Missouri (1609 NW US Hwy 50). The outdoor event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. CT, featuring futsal on the lawn, giant soccer, special prize giveaways and an appearance from Sporting KC mascot Blue.


Three Sporting KC Academy teams will close out their 2017-18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy regular season campaigns on Saturday at Swope Soccer Village, hosting a tripleheader against Real Colorado. The U-17s will kick off at 10 a.m. CT before the U-15s and U-19s get underway at 12:30 p.m. CT. All three matches are free and open to the public to attend. The Sporting KC U-17s and U-19s have already clinched berths to the 2017-18 Development Academy Playoffs, which run from June 18-24 at SoCal Sports Complex in Oceanside, California.


Swope Soccer Village will host the 34th Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) Girls Soccer State Championships from Wednesday through Saturday, featuring the semifinals, finals and consolation matches for Class 1, 2, 3 and 4. Wyandotte Sporting Fields (1500 N 90th St., Kansas City, KS) will host the Kansas State Youth Soccer Association 2018 Spring State Cup tournaments, beginning Tuesday and running through Wednesday, June 6.
