World Cup Watch Party at No Other Pub: 2018 FIFA World Cup Final

Sporting Kansas City (9-4-6, 33 points) earned a 2-2 draw with Toronto FC on Saturday night at Children's Mercy Park, receiving second-half goals from Ilie Sanchez and Johnny Russell. Sitting two points out of first place in the Western Conference, Sporting KC will continue their MLS regular season campaign Saturday with a visit to the New York Red Bulls (10-5-2, 32 points) at 6 p.m. CT. FOX Sports Kansas City, FOX Sports Midwest Plus and FOX Sports GO will broadcast three hours of live coverage beginning at 5:30 p.m. CT, while local radio calls will air live on Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and ESPN Deportes KC 1480 AM (Spanish). The Final Whistle Postgame Show will also air immediately after the match on 810 WHB.


The Swope Park Rangers (9-4-4, 31 points) will take the field twice this week, first welcoming Sacramento Republic FC (8-5-6, 30 points) for a 7:30 p.m. CT kickoff Tuesday at Children's Mercy Park. Tickets for the Western Conference clash are available at SeatGeek.com or at the stadium box office before the game. The Rangers will then hit the road to face Portland Timbers 2 (8-8-2, 26 points) at 9 p.m. CT Saturday at Providence Park. Both SPR matches will stream live on ESPN+.


Major League Soccer's secondary transfer window, the second of two periods on the calendar in which teams can register new players via international transfers or intra-league trades, will officially open on Tuesday. The secondary transfer window, which runs through Aug. 8, will be the last chance for MLS teams to complete incoming transfers and trades for the 2018 season.


A new episode of The Sporting KC Show will air at 7:10 p.m. CT Tuesday with host Carter Augustine, recapping an exciting weekend of MLS and World Cup soccer and looking ahead to Saturday's test at Red Bull Arena.


No Other Pub in the Kansas City Power & Light District continues to serve as Sporting KC’s World Cup Headquarters, hosting World Cup watch parties featuring Belgium vs. France at 1 p.m. Tuesday and Croatia vs. England at 1 p.m. CT Wednesday. No Other Pub will also host a watch party for Sunday's World Cup Final, set to kick off at 10 a.m. CT.

Sporting Fields + Athletics is offering free pickup soccer Thursday from 6-8 p.m. CT at Wyandotte Sporting Fields for players age 18 and up. On Friday, Scooter's Coffee will celebrate the grand opening of its new cafe in Independence, Missouri (2300 S. Missouri 291 Hwy) with a a Day of Giving, donating 100 percent of the location's proceeds to The Victory Project. The occasion will include an appearance from a Sporting KC player from 3-4:30 p.m. CT with photo and autograph opportunities. The Day of Giving is part of a season-long collaboration in which Scooter’s Coffee raises money and awareness for The Victory Project, the philanthropic arm of Sporting KC that unites players, staff and fans to help children fighting cancer and other serious illnesses.


Sporting KC will host a King of the Court futsal tournament on Saturday at Town Center Plaza in Leawood, Kansas (5000 W 119th St.), consisting of 5-v-5 matches for age groups 8-12 and 13-18. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. CT, featuring a block party complete with music, yard games, skills challenges, food trucks, music DJs and more.
