Sporting KC moves to mobile entry only for home matches at Children’s Mercy Park

Sporting KC 2019 Mobile Entry Only - Mobile Ticketing DL

Sporting Kansas City announced today that the club is moving to a mobile-only ticketing system at Children’s Mercy Park ahead of the 2019 season, mirroring the best practices from teams across professional sports.

Conducted in tandem with SeatGeek, the official ticketing partner of Sporting KC, mobile-only entry at Children’s Mercy Park will see fans exclusively use their smartphones to scan into matches. This paperless practice, already adopted by over 80 percent of Sporting KC Season Ticket Members last season, will enhance ticket security, support green initiatives like Sporting Sustainability, and make it easier for fans to send, sell, receive and manage their tickets. Entry to 2019 Swope Park Rangers matches at Children’s Mercy Park will also be mobile only.

Fans new to the mobile ticketing experience can create an account on SeatGeek.com or by downloading the SeatGeek app on the App Store and Google Play. Supporters are also encouraged to link their SeatGeek account to the Sporting KC app for personalized offers and future rewards. To ensure a seamless ticketing experience, ticket holders should use the same registration email in both the SeatGeek and Sporting KC apps.

Supporters can access their Sporting KC tickets through the SeatGeek app, the SeatGeek mobile desktop site and the Sporting KC app. Tickets can then be stored in the Apple or Google Wallet before fans arrive at the stadium gates.

For more information, including a comprehensive SeatGeek mobile app FAQ and guide with video instructions, visit SportingKC.com/tickets/mobile-entry. This guide shows iOS and Android users how to view, send, accept and list tickets, view and filter ticket listings, add promo codes and more.

Tickets to Sporting’s first home match of 2019—a monumental showdown with Mexican side Deportivo Toluca FC in the first leg of the Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League Round of 16 on Feb. 21—are now on sale at SeatGeek.com. Supporters can also secure single-game tickets to the club’s first eight MLS home matches, beginning with Fan Appreciation Day against the Philadelphia Union on March 10 and ending with a marquee matchup versus Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the LA Galaxy on May 29.

In addition, limited quantities of full-season ticket packages remain available for fans looking to catch every moment of the Sporting KC action at world-class Children’s Mercy Park.
