Sporting Kansas City (1-1-1, 4 points) returns to action Saturday following FIFA's international break, hosting the Montreal Impact (2-1-0, 6 points) in a cross-conference showdown at Children's Mercy Park. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. CT and tickets remain available at SeatGeek.com or by calling 888-4KC-GOAL to secure a Family 4 Pack, consisting of four tickets, four Coca-Cola products, four hot dogs and four bags of chips.
FOX Sports Kansas City Plus, FOX Sports Midwest Plus and FOX Sports GO will provide three hours of live coverage on Saturday beginning at 1:30 p.m. CT. Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and ESPN Deportes KC 1480 AM (Spanish) will cary the game over the radio, with The Final Whistle postgame show airing immediately afterward on 810 WHB. Fan can also access the new Sporting KC App for in-game updates and exclusive offers, including a digital coupon for free Ben & Jerry's ice cream at any Price Chopper location in the Kansas City area.
SportingStyle has opened matchday pre-orders for pickup at Saturday's match at Children's Mercy Park. Fans can shop a limited assortment of items between now and Saturday, including the new Sporting Club collection and the "We Are Sporting" scarf of the match. In the buildup to Saturday's game, Sporting will conduct three H&R Block Social Takeovers with players, allowing fans to follow the club's Instagram stories and Snapchat account for a behind-the-scenes look at the team. Midfielder Kelyn Rowe and forward Daniel Salloi will take over the club's Instagram account on Tuesday and Thursday, respectively, while 16-year-old Gianluca Busio will give matchday updates on Snapchat as Sporting squares off with Montreal.
A new episode of The Sporting KC Show Podcast will debut at 7 p.m. CT Tuesday on Sports Radio 810 WHB with hosts Nate Bukaty and Carter Augustine. The duo will recap a busy weekend of international competition and look ahead to Saturday's intriguing matchup at Children's Mercy Park.
Sporting Kansas City will host the inaugural Sporting Next-Gen Invitational on Saturday and Sunday at Wyandotte Sporting Fields (1500 N 90 St., Kansas City, KS), featuring premier youth clubs from across the region at the boys and girls U-9 through U-12 levels. The two-day event will feature appearances from multiple Sporting KC players and is headlined by the Patterson Cup, an elite U-12 boys tournament featuring six of the top youth academies from Major League Soccer including Sporting KC. The Patterson Cup is named after Sporting KC co-owner Neal Patterson and his wife Jeanne, both of whom lost their lives to cancer in 2017. The Swope Park Rangers earned their first point of the 2019 USL Championship campaign on Saturday, earning a 2-2 draw against Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC at Children's Mercy Park. Head coach Paulo Nagamura's side is off this weekend and will continue a three-game homestand on Saturday April 6, welcoming Bethlehem Steel FC in a 4 p.m. CT kickoff at Children's Mercy Park.
