Sporting KC announces multifaceted partnership with KC-based Parisi Coffee as concessions refresh continues

Sporting KC and Parisi Coffee - Jan. 22, 2020

Sporting Kansas City announced today a new, multifaceted partnership with Parisi Coffee, a Kansas City-based artisan coffee roaster that specializes in hand-brewed coffee and fine foods.

Beginning this season, Parisi will serve as the official coffee and cold brew of Sporting Kansas City as well as the preferred specialty foods provider for City Foods, the club’s in-house catering service.

A primary component of the partnership will see Sporting and Parisi launch a unique line of coffee blends that pay homage to Parisi’s Italian heritage and commitment to the arts while also aligning with Sporting Kansas City’s rich supporter culture. Sporting and Parisi will also debut a special-edition shandy—a refreshing blend of coffee, lemonade and vanilla.

“I'm very excited about our new partnership with Sporting Kansas City,” Parisi co-owner Joseph Paris said. “Parisi Coffee is about art from the cup, and Sporting KC exemplifies the art of soccer. We look forward to participating in the fun and exciting culture this club has built in Kansas City.”

“Aligning with another local brand like Parisi is a great opportunity for the club,” said Jon Moses, Sporting Kansas City Vice President of Corporate Partnerships. “We are excited to bring several components of this partnership to life, including the creation of a special-edition coffee line and shandy that supporters can enjoy at Children’s Mercy Park. Parisi will be a very fun partner to collaborate with as we continue to enhance the fan experience.”

An assortment of Parisi products will be available at all Sporting home matches, including the collaborative coffee line and Sporting shandy, its signature cold brew and kombucha. Parisi will also offer grab-and-go sandwiches inside Children’s Mercy Park and at the nearby Wyandotte Sporting Fields youth soccer complex.

In addition to operating out of its portable kiosk on the Children’s Mercy Park concourse, Parisi will serve espresso, desserts and other snack options in premium spaces throughout the stadium while crafting specialized menus for City Foods events. Sporting and Parisi will also partner for a series of grand opening and community events in 2020.

Parisi opened its first roasting facility in 2006 and five years later opened its first café at historic Union Station near downtown Kansas City. Parisi products are available at its café, select Kansas City restaurants, grocery stores and at ParisiCoffee.com. For more, follow Parisi on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

Parisi joins BRGR Kitchen + Bar, Taco Republic and J. Rieger & Co. as new, locally based food and beverage partners ahead of the 2020 season. Sporting will continue to announce more information about new partners, concession upgrades, stadium technology improvements and premium space renovations in the coming weeks.

Celebrating its 25th year as a charter member of Major League Soccer, Sporting will kick off the 2020 MLS regular season on Feb. 29 at Vancouver Whitecaps FC before hosting rivals Houston Dynamo in the club’s home opener on March 7.

The best way to guarantee tickets for 2020 home matches is to join the Sporting Kansas City family and become a Season Ticket Member. Several multi-game ticket packages for the 2020 campaign are also on sale, including the limited-time Home Opener Pack that bundles the game on March 7 with two flex matches. Single-game tickets for the first half of Sporting’s home schedule will go on sale to the general public in the near future.
