Sporting Sounds: Matt Besler reenacts hilarious George Brett story among oblivious young teammates

Matt Besler's most recent appearance on Sports Radio 810 WHB served up a heavy dose of humor.

Joining The Border Patrol hosts Nate Bukaty, Steven St. John and Jake Gutierrez on Thursday morning, the Sporting Kansas City defender shared a hilarious audio clip from preseason training in Arizona that had the entire crew cracking up.

Let's set the stage: Besler joined Academy products Jake Davis, Jaylin Lindsey and Gianluca Busio in a passing circle before training and proceeded to reenact the famous story told by Kansas City Royals all-time great George Brett, who several years ago shared a little too much information about his gastrointestinal issues before a spring training session. Besler put his own spin on the tale, making for a humorous soundbite and a slightly embarrassing moment for Davis.

The segment then shifted to a more pressing topic, with Besler reflecting on Wednesday's exhibition match against Phoenix Rising FC, looking ahead to Saturday's preseason finale versus the New York Red Bulls and discussing Manager Peter Vermes' impressive evolution as a leader and motivator.
