An exciting episode of The Sporting Kansas City Show debuted Tuesday night on Sports Radio 810 WHB as hosts Nate Bukaty, Carter Augustine and Aly Trost reveled in the fact that Major League Soccer’s 2020 season is about to resume.

The trio discussed the proposed Orlando tournament at ESPN’s Wide World of Disney Sports Complex before welcoming Manager and Sporting Director Peter Vermes, who has been busy at work prepping his team for the unprecedented summer ahead. In addition to sharing insight on the Orlando competition, Vermes reflected on the first few days of full-team training at Compass Minerals National Performance Center and the nine-year anniversary of Children’s Mercy Park.

The episode closed with the hosts reacting to news that Felipe Gutierrez will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury and who might step up in his place.
