Sporting Kansas City II midfielder Kamron Habibullah takes home MLS NEXT Pro Player of Matcweek 4 honors after the midfielder tallied a hat-trick in Sporting KC II's 5-3 win at Colorado Rapids 2 on Sunday night. Habibullah bagged his first second and third SKC II goals en route to a comeback victory at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium.

Habibullah gave Kansas City the lead in the 21st, cut a two-goal deficit in half in the 68th and put the game on ice in the 87th as his team came back from down 3-1 at halftime with four unanswered goals. The midfielder fired seven shots on target, setting a new single-match, SKC II record. His nine total shots are the second most in a single match in SKC II history.

A product of the Vancouver Whitecaps Academy, Habibullah signed with Sporting KC II in early March, joining the team for the tail end of the 2024 preseason. A former Canadian U-17 and U-20 Youth National Team member, the midfielder made 21 appearances for the Vancouver Whitecaps and Whitecaps FC 2 from 2021-2023. This season he has appeared for SKC II on three occasions, tallying a team-best three goals in 166 minutes played.

Habibullah opened the scoring in a riveting MLS NEXT Pro match between Sporting KC II and Rapids 2 in the 21st minute. The midfielder slotted home a centering pass from forward Beto Avila from just outside the six-yard box with a well-placed tap-in off the inside of his foot.

Down 3-1 in the 68th, Habibullah cut into the lead with a brilliant finish inside the 18 after being played in on goal with a pinpoint pass from Sebastian Cruz. After two goals from Avila, Habibullah solidified the win with a solo effort in the final third, forcing a turnover, dashing for goal and tucking the hat-trick goal in the corner in the 87th minute.

Sporting KC II and Habibullah claimed their second win of the season at Colorado and will return to the pitch this Sunday to take on Houston Dynamo 2 at Swope Soccer Village. Tickets are on sale at SeatGeek.com and the match will stream for free on MLSNEXTPro.com and the MLS YouTube page. SKC II and Houston already locked horns in Texas where Kansas City won 2-1 with two goals after the 80th minute.
