Sporting Kansas City midfielder Remi Walter was formally recognized today for his goal-scoring performance in a 2-1 road victory against the Seattle Sounders on Saturday, receiving a place on the MLS Team of the Week presented by Audi.
Walter, who signed with Sporting in December 2020, has been a regular in the SKC lineup with 19 starts and 24 appearances this season. Saturday proved no different as the Frenchman started in the midfield.
Walter put SKC on the right foot, scoring in just the fourth minute of the contest. The midfielder was teed up by Luis Martins and fired a one-time screamer that found the back of the net. Walter also won five of seven duels and completed 88.9 percent of his passes in the SKC victory.

Walter and Sporting return home Wednesday, as they welcome LA Galaxy (13-7-11) to Childrenās Mercy Park for Sportingās penultimate MLS regular-season home match. The contest will kick off at 7:30 p.m. CT with live coverage on FS1 and Fox Deportes as well as Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM.
