Sporting Kansas City II unveiled today the club’s new primary and secondary jerseys for the 2021 USL Championship season.


For the second straight year, Sporting KC II will take the field in the same colors as Sporting Kansas City. The primary kit features a classic Sporting Blue base with Dark Indigo elements, including the adidas logo, adidas three stripes and a thin diagonal stripe running down both sides. The secondary kit shares the iconic hoops look of Sporting Kansas City’s new primary jersey, with horizontal stripes of Sporting Blue and Dark Indigo complemented by Dark Indigo sleeves.


Both jerseys will include the Sporting KC II crest as well as the USL Championship patch on the left sleeve.

The full USL Championship regular season schedule will be released in the near term. League play will begin on or around May 1, with Sporting KC II playing 32 league matches over the course of 27 weeks.


Head coach Paulo Nagamura’s side is one of eight clubs in the Eastern Conference’s Central Division, joining Atlanta United 2, Birmingham Legion FC, FC Tulsa, Indy Eleven, Louisville City FC, Memphis 901 FC and OKC Energy FC.


During the regular season, Sporting KC II will play each team in the Central Division four times—twice at home and twice on the road. The remaining four matches will be played against regional or cross-conference opponents.


With Nagamura entering his fourth year as head coach, Sporting KC II will feature nine players returning from last season, including Sporting KC Academy products Jake Davis, Christian Duke, Jahon Rad and Kaveh Rad. Goalkeeper Remi Prieur, defenders Danny Barbir and Petar Cuic, and forwards Enoch Mushagalusa and Domink Restetar are also back for year two with the club.
