Graham Zusi's superb strike against Chicago nominated for MLS Goal of the Week

Graham Zusi - Sporting KC vs Chicago Fire - October 10, 2014

Sporting Kansas City winger Graham Zusi's game-winning goal in last Friday's 2-0 win over the Chicago Fire has been nominated for MLS Goal of the Week. Voting runs online at MLSsoccer.com until 1:59 a.m. CT Friday.

Zusi's left-footed curler ultimately won the match and sealed Sporting KC's spot in the 2014 MLS Cup Playoffs. He followed up the 80th-minute goal with an inch-perfect cross to Dom Dwyer in the 92nd minute for his team-high eighth assist of the season.

Now tied for second place in the Eastern Conference with the New England Revolution, Sporting KC is 17-0-2 all-time when Zusi scores in an MLS match. The sixth year professional, who was named the club's 2014 Co-Most Valuable Player on Saturday, is the only MLS player to register at least five goals and at least seven assists in each of the last four seasons.

Zusi and Sporting KC captain Matt Besler have been added to the United States Men's National Team roster ahead of Tuesday's international friendly against Honduras. Both players will join the United States for the first time since playing all four U.S. matches at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil this summer.

The other nominees for Week 31's Goal of the Week are Real Salt Lake's Fabian Espindola, Montreal Impact's Marco Di Vaio, LA Galaxy's Stefan Ishizaki and Chivas USA's Kristopher Tyrpak.
