Injury Report: Midfielder upgraded to questionable as Sporting KC takes on the Portland Timbers at Children's Mercy Park

Sporting Kansas City is set to take on the Portland Timbers tonight at Children’s Mercy Park, with tickets available via SeatGeek. Sporting KC enters the match with a solitary name on the injury report in Benny Feilhaber.

Feilhaber suffered a lower leg/ankle injury after a violent challenge from Nathan Smith in last Saturday’s 2-1 victory over the LA Galaxy – a tackle that Smith was later suspended for – and the creative midfielder missed the midweek U.S. Open Cup victory over the Houston Dynamo while nursing the injury.

While Feilhaber was listed as out for Wednesday’s match, he has been upgraded to questionable for tonight’s clash and is the only name on the club’s injury report heading into the game.

The Timbers have several injury concerns heading into the match, with Gbenga Arokoyo (Achilles), Jack Barmby (calf), Liam Ridgewell (quad) and Diego Chara (hamstring) all joining former Sporting KC midfielder Amobi Okugo (knee) as out for tonight’s regular-season showdown. In addition, U.S. National Team regular Darlington Nagbe is questionable with a hamstring concern.

Tonight’s match will kick off at 6 p.m. CT from Children’s Mercy Park on ESPN and ESPN Deportes, while Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM will have the call on the radio.
