Sporting Kansas City has kicked the week off with a bang, announcing the signing of 22-year-old German-American midfielder Gedion Zelalem.
Even better, fans of the club won't have to wait long at all to meet the newest player on the team.
No Other Pub in the Kansas City Power & Light District, located at 1370 Grand Blvd. on the second floor of the KC Live! Block, invites supporters of all ages to a Gedion Zelalem Meet & Greet tonight from 5:30-6:30 p.m. CT.
Zelalem will be in attendance to take pictures and sign autographs with fans as he begins a new chapter of his professional career with Sporting.
The event marks the perfect occasion for SKC Nation to give Zelalem a warm welcome and show the midfielder why Kansas City is such a special soccer city.
A dual citizen of Germany and the United States, Zelalem joins Sporting after a six-year stint with Arsenal’s youth and senior teams. On the international stage, the midfielder represented Germany at the U-15 through U-17 levels before gaining U.S. citizenship in 2014 and competing for the United States U-20s and U-23s.
