Sporting Kansas City announced today that three players will be sidelined through injury as the club prepares to play five of its next six matches at Childrenā€™s Mercy Park.

Midfielder Roger Espinoza has suffered a posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) sprain in his left knee and will miss two to three months. Espinozaā€™s injury will not require surgery.

Defender Rodney Wallace will undergo a surgical procedure in his right hip and is expected to miss four to six months.

Lastly, defender Matt Besler will be out two to four weeks after suffering a hamstring strain in Saturdayā€™s match at the San Jose Earthquakes.

Sporting returns home Saturday to host the New England Revolution at 7:30 p.m. CT. Tickets for the Kansas City Night matchup are available at SeatGeek.com as Manager Peter Vermesā€™ men look to improve upon a 29-3-14 regular season home record dating back to June 2016.
