Sporting Recreation League now open for Pre-K through 2nd Grade boys and girls

Sporting KC Youth Soccer has announced the launch of the Sporting Recreation League, debuting this fall for Pre-K through 2nd Grade boys and girls at the new, all-turf Olathe Soccer Complex (10550 S. Ridgeview Rd., Kansas City, KS).


The Sporting Recreation League is designed for youth soccer players of all skill levels, offering a high-quality and fun soccer experience with an emphasis on sportsmanship and developing a passion for the game.


Player and team registration for the new league is now open with Early Bird pricing available through June 30. Among the numerous benefits of registering, all participants will receive a pair of adidas soccer cleats and an adidas jersey.



The Sporting Recreation League fall season will kick off Saturday, Sept. 7 and run through October. All teams will be coached by parent or guardian volunteers. Sporting KC Youth Soccer will support and educate each coach by providing weekly training sessions and hosting coaching education clinics on the turf fields at Olathe Soccer Complex.

In addition, all Sporting Recreation League players will become members of the Sporting Club Network, an affiliation program with Sporting KC Youth Soccer. Sporting Stripes, a beginner-based soccer program for kids 2-4 years old, will also be offered on Saturday mornings at the Olathe Soccer Complex during the Sporting Recreation League fall season. Sporting Stripes will provide a safe and fun learning environment for children, who will practice the basics of early development milestones in balance, coordination and socialization.
