The Nutmeg Podcast: Roger Espinoza joins Josh Klingler on 610 Sports Radio

Roger Espinoza celebration - Sporting KC vs. Independiente - March 14, 2019

With 238 regular season appearances across two separate stints in Kansas City, midfielder Roger Espinoza has been a mainstay in Sporting's lineup during the club's decade of trophy-laden success. The grizzled veteran has also etched his name into national team lore, representing Honduras at the 2010 and 2014 FIFA World Cups as well as the 2012 Olympics.

In the fifth episode of The Nutmeg Podcast with Josh Klingler of 610 Sports, Espinoza reflects on a storied career in which he has experienced the highs of multiple U.S. Open Cup titles, an FA Cup win and marquee international matches. He also sheds light on some of the lows, having lost a relegation battle in the English Premier League and become Major League Soccer's all-time leader in red cards.

That's not to mention Espinoza's terrific story of how he wound up in the United States in the first place and his unlikely rise to the highest levels of the sport.
