Sporting KC announces 2021 jersey number updates as Gianluca Busio takes No. 10

Gianluca Busio #10 - Sporting KC

Sporting Kansas City has a new No. 10.

Academy product Gianluca Busio, an 18-year-old midfielder and one of the best teenage players in American soccer, has swapped No. 27 for No. 10 ahead of the 2021 MLS campaign.

But that's not all. Busio is making a big-time offer to all Sporting fans as the new season approaches.

Indeed, Busio will cover the "Busio 10" customization price for all supporters who purchase Sporting's new primary jersey, which will be unveiled in the near term.

In addition to announcing Busio's jersey number update today, Sporting confirmed jersey numbers for each of the club's new signings in 2021 as well as a switch for Homegrown defender Jaylin Lindsey. Details are listed below.

Elsewhere, Lindsey has swapped No. 26 for No. 2. New goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh has taken No. 22, while the Homegrown trio of Grayson Barber (No. 19), Ozzie Cisneros (No. 25) and Brooks Thompson (No. 31) have also snapped up their kit numbers for 2021.
