When the gates to Children's Mercy Park open for the first time in 2023 on Saturday, fans will be treated to an enhanced experience courtesy of new spaces and amenities throughout the world-class venue.
Below is a sneak peek at several of the upgrades with more changes still to come over the course of 2023, including the integration of Drink Command's Self-Serve Technology in the Budweiser Brew House and Huhtamaki Shield Club.
UMB FIELD CLUB
The UMB Field Club underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation during the offseason and is the newest premium sports space in the region. Ticket holders will enjoy a new hospitality buffet and bar, as well as enhanced access to watch postgame press conferences.
HUHTAMAKI SHIELD CLUB
A new partnership with Huhtamaki as the club's official sustainable packaging provider will see new compost and recycling bins placed throughout Children's Mercy Park as the stadium places a priority on the use of compostable and recyclable products. This emphasis on the environment and sustainability is evident from the moment guests arrive into the Huhtamaki Shield Club with the installation of an eye-catching living wall made from dormant moss.
PRICE CHOPPER SOUTH STAND & PRICE CHOPPER MARKET
The newly branded Price Chopper South Stand will welcome supporters seated in Sections 115-121 and the new Price Chopper Market - located directly behind section 118 - will provide grab-and-go food and drink options that include salads, melts, wraps and sub sandwiches.
STATE LINE BURGER AND CONCESSIONS
Located behind Section 129, the stadium's newest concession stand will feature a mouth-watering menu of fan-favorite fare including the following items:
- SKC Slider Boxes
- Deluxe Cheeseburgers
- BBQ Cheeseburgers
- Chipotle Black Bean Burgers
- Onion Rings & French Fries
State Line Burger adds to the many concession stands located throughout Children's Mercy Park with updated menus in 2023. Click here to see a list of items available at each location on matchdays and the Concessions Deal of the Match for Saturday's home opener is a hot dog and Coca-Cola product bundle for $8.
BUDWEISER BREW HOUSE
New in 2023, Sporting Kansas City players will walk through the Budweiser Brew House on their arrival to the stadium. BBH will open at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday and is open to Supporters' Stand ticket holders as well as the first 500 Season Ticket Members. The one-of-a-kind space now features a new 220" Daktronics LED wall with split-screen functionality installed above the bar.
Prior to kickoff, fans in the Budweiser Brew House can enjoy 12-ounce Sporting Argyle Ales, 12-ounce Bud Lights or 24-ounce Coca-Cola products for only $3 each. The pricing will return postmatch as a Victory Special if Sporting wins and the Budweiser Brew House will open to all ticket holders after final whistle with live music from The Crossroad Sound.
