Sporting Kansas City will hose the Houston Dynamo FC at 7:30 p.m. CT on Saturday at Sporting Park as the club celebrates Harry Potter's birthday with a special theme night featuring a ticket pack that includes a co-branded scarf, an exclusive hat giveaway at the gates for the first 5,000 fans, a limited edition tee at Sporting Style and a contest to win a trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal,

In addition, the club will host a Community Book Drive in partnership with title night sponsor Central Bank with collection bins located outside the UMB Premium Entry, Sporting Plaza Entry and Hollywood Casino Gate. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used children's books to be donated to local youth through Lead to Read KC, whose mission is to help students succeed by strengthening their reading skills through high-quality literacy programs.

Sporting has played Houston more often than any other opponent during the Sporting era with Saturday's encounter marking the 50th meeting across all competitions since the start of 2011. The Dynamo are the only opponent SKC has faced in six editions of the MLS Cup Playoffs, including the club's most recent postseason action in the 2023 Western Conference Semifinals.

Sporting Kansas City has earned at least a point in nine of its last 10 league meetings with Houston (5-1-4) dating back to 2021 and SKC won the season series in 2025 with a 3-1 comeback win in Houston on May 31 behind a Dejan Joveljic brace and a scoreless draw at Sporting Park on Oct. 18 in each team's season finale. The result was Sporting's last shutout as SKC has gone 17 regular season matches without a clean sheet in 2026, the second longest single-season streak in club history.

Unbeaten in the team's last four games, Houston is led by head coach Ben Olsen and the Dynamo recently added Duncan McGuire to an attack that features the Designated Player trio of Argentina forward Ezequiel Ponce, Polish playmaker Mateusz Bogusz and Brazilian winger Guilherme.

Guilherme leads the team in both goals (nine) and assists (seven) this season to rank third in MLS in total goal contributions (16) behind only Lionel Messi (20) and Evander (18). The 31-year-old has scored or assisted on nearly 70% of Houston's goals this season (16 of 23) and he appeared in the MLS All-Star's 4-3 victory over the Liga MX All-Stars on Wednesday in Charlotte.
