The Victory Project Benefit Concert

The Victory Project Benefit Concert -

The first ever concert to benefit The Victory Project will be held on Sunday, August 24th at The recordBar in Westport. The concert will feature music by classic country and western band the Starhaven Rounders, and Gary Kirkland.

Guests will have the opportunity to listen to live local music while bidding on live and silent auction items. Some of the auction items include tickets to the following: a Sporting KC game in the Victory Suite, the Chiefs home opener, Crossroads Music Fest and Buzz Beachball. Even a hot air balloon ride is up for grabs!

Jim and Dani Anderson -- Sporting KC and Starhaven Rounder fans -- donated the band for this event and are the benefactors for the evening.  After bidding on and winning their favorite band in an auction benefiting KKFI, they decided to have a fundraiser instead of a party. KKFI is a local radio station recognized by Paste Magazine as being one of the Top 10 most unique public and community radio stations.

“We have always loved Sporting KC and all they do for the city,” said Dani Anderson. “Jim and I felt that since the Starhaven Rounders band graciously donated their time, we should have a concert benefiting a local charity. We thought long and hard about what charity would best fit our desire to help children and The Victory Project fit that bill perfectly.”
