Thursday brought two birthdays for Sporting KC players as defender Aurelien Collin turned 26 and midfielder Michael Thomas hit 24. Thankfully they both have a ways to go to catch their, shall we say unique, choice of jersey numbers (78 & 88, respectively). Speaking of ages, ESPN the Magazine ranked the average age of all 19 MLS teams based on their 2012 projected starting lineups. Collin and Thomas both make the cut as Sporting KC comes in at 26.2 years of age on average, second youngest in the league behind Philly. Back to the birthday, the fashionable Frenchman celebrated with an obligatory birthday cake topped with a touch of bobblehead, courtesy of teammate Julio Cesar. Sweet sombrero, hombre.
