Stuck in rush hour traffic on I-35? Sporting KC striker Kei Kamara will be right there with you.
The new billboard, the latest in a
series designed by local artist Chris Sembower
, went up this week at I-35 and Southwest Boulevard as you head north into downtown. It features the team's leading goal scorer as Kamara has struck five times this season and moved into eighth place on the club's all-time chart with 25 since coming to KC in 2009.
Kei is one of six Sporting KC nominees -- along with Jimmy Nielsen, Aurelien Collin, Roger Espinoza, Graham Zusi and C.J. Sapong -- on the player ballot for the 2012 AT&T MLS All-Star Game next month. Text the players' last name to 22442 or vote online at MLSSoccer.com.
