Below are some excerpts on Sporting from these rankings.

"SKC continues to pile up results, securing its fourth win in five games with a come-from-behind 2-1 triumph over Toronto FC. Newcomer Oriol Rosell scored the game winner to keep Kansas City within sniffing distance of Supporters' Shield leader San Jose." - ESPN.com's Jeff Carlisle

"With Teal Bunbury lost for the season to a torn ACL, others have to step up, and that's exactly what Paulo Nagamura and Oriol Rossell did in helping SKC to a come-from-behind victory against Toronto FC. All four of the teams chasing Sporting KC have dropped points in some fashion over the past couple of weeks, making the early-season favorites the team to beat yet again in an ever-changing conference landscape." - SI.com's Avi Creditor

"Kansas City extended their unbeaten streak to five matches thanks to Saturday’s 2-1 win againstToronto FC. The international break will be important for Sporting KC to get some rest before a brutal six-game stretch against the top teams in the East." - FoxSports.com Ives Galarcep
