Mikey Lopez starts for US U20's in 1-0 win -

Sporting Kansas City midfielder Mikey Lopez started for the United States Under-20 Men's National Team on Saturday, helping the U20's to a 1-0 victory over the Democratic Republic of Congo U21's in the Toulon Tournament at Stade du Ray in Nice, France. The match will be shown on BeIN Sport at 4 p.m. CT today.

The victory was the United States first of the tournament, which features 10 countries separated into two five-team groups. The US wlll conclude Group A play against Korea Republic at 10 a.m. CT on Tuesday at Stade Louis Hon in Saint-Raphael, France.


Lopez made his Sporting KC debut on Tuesday, starting and playing 75 minutes in the team's 2-0 victory over the Des Moines Menace in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup third round. He then joined the United States U20's, who are preparing for the 2013 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Turkey later this month.
