Victory Project hosts annual soccer clinics

This week, The Victory Project hosted its annual fundraiser soccer clinics at Sporting Park. Over 135 participants registered for this year’s clinics, including five of The Victory Project’s previous in-game honorees.

Each clinic was 90 minutes, including 60 minutes of on-field instruction with Sporting KC players and Sporting Club Network coaches. Following the clinic, players hosted an autograph session and tours of the team’s locker room were provided.

During the clinics, participants learned various drills that were split up into four different stations designed to focus on a variety of attacking and defending skills. A Sporting KC player and Sporting Club Network coach was assigned to each station and groups rotated every few minutes to insure everyone had an equal chance to participate in each station.

Sporting KC players in attendance were Graham Zusi, Seth Sinovic, Servando Carrasco, Soni Mustivar, Saad Abdul-Salaam, Jon Kempin, Tim Melia, Connor Hallisey, James Ansu Rogers, Marcel de Jong and Jalil Anibaba. All funds benefit The Victory Project in its mission to help children thrive through life's challenges.
